On Friday, March 13, there will be a guest speaker in the first grade rooms. She is a dental hygenist. She will be coming for Dental Health month, although that was last month. In Math they are studing geometry. In science, the first graders are also continuing the unit, balance and motion.
The first graders are excited for spring break which will take place March 27-April 5. School will resume April 6.
Mrs. Metke/Morgan and Mrs. Earley’s classes both went to “Goldy Locks And the Three Bears!”
Mrs. Earley’s class is finally finishing their Dream Big unit in reading. They are also mastering measureing in math. They are learning centimeters, inches, feet, yards, meeters etc. They finally freed their butterflies in science. They are also watching another genaration of mealworms/beetles. The second graders are having fun in reader’s theater.

The first graders are in the last week of swimming lessons. The swiming lessons are at the YMCA. They are also starting a new science unit. The unit is balance and motion. In math the first graders are learning about place value and working on math facts. Lastly, they are working on reading fluency.
Kindergarteners are making more Valentine’s Day projects to take home. In math they are practicing adding and subtracting.
Mrs. Earley and Mrs. Metke/ Morgan both have meal worms, crickets, and painted lady butterflies for science.
Mrs. Early’s class has started a new reading unit called “Dream big”. Also they have just finished map testing with wonderful reasults! They are in their last week of of swimming which they are attending at the YMCA. They would also like it if you are visiting the school to look at there rainforest home on their bulliton board.
Mrs. Metke/Morgan’s class are studying about the Chinese New Year. They are also on a review unit for reading. Their superstar of the week is Delanny. Ricky is their initiative trait winner!
Ms. Wilder’s class is doing lots of math like area and perimeter. They’re working on multiplication too. They’re working on reading fluency, writing prompt and finishing swimming lessons.
Kindergarteners are practicing reading. They are keeping busy with art projects. They are looking forward to Valentine’s Day. Kindergarteners are taking swimming lessons at the YMCA. They are working with math flash cards. They are practicing their writing. The kindergarteners and teachers are looking forward to winter to be over and spring to bloom.
Basketball started the first week of January.
Basketball will end late Febuary.
5th grade games are on Tuesdays.
6th grade games are on Wednesdays.

The First graders are doing a lot of things for December. They are learning to read more. Another thing is they are practicing Christmas songs They were in a Winter concert on the tenth of December. Parents were invited to watch. The last thing is they are starting rocket math in January.
