LA: Working on Nouns, Common and Propor.
Writing: Writing A mystery story.
Social Studies: Continue Studing Exploration and will be moving into
Colonization of America.
Science: Hope to start Variables unit soon.
Math: Fractions, Decimals, and Percents.

On January 9 and 10, the Pacific Science Center came to McDermoth and taught all of the McDermoth students about Outer Space. They had some fun activities that were hands on. We learned mostly about stars and constellations. It was a fun two days for all.

McDermoth hoop shoot winners, Makayla and Griffin participated in the city wide contest on Monday, January 7. In the 12-13 year old catagory Makayla placed 3rd with 7 out of 25 free throws. Griffin placed 3rd also with 4 out of 25 free throws at the Miller Jr. High. They both got a trophy.
